And the best way to learn content creation is to “JUST START”. Start making short reels, videos or blogs. They help you build your personal brand which is becoming non-negotiable today.
Now content creation in itself teaches you a lot more than just writing, speaking, and shooting videos.
First of all it helps you organize your thoughts well, and in turn build your communication skills.
You now know how to research your content well.
To make your content visually appealing, you would learn some basic graphic designing and video editing skills.
And to make your content discoverable, you would learn SEO (Search engine optimization). You are able to see some of the best content online because they are optimized for search.
And along that journey, you would build your own personal brand by being consistent and posting strategically. People will know you and have trust that they can actually spend their money on you.
In the worst possible case, you would make some side income. But if it works out well, you would earn a lot more than you could think.
2. Artificial Intelligence
Now the next skill to master is AI.
And by AI, I don’t mean to learn how to build AI models, and train them. You should learn that if you are a lot into tech and software development , and are just intrigued by how that works. But that is a very niche market. And here companies need people with a lot of work experience.
So right now, I mean learn how to integrate AI tools into everyday things.
For that, first think about what is your use case, i.e. what is something you do everyday. And then use AI to do that.
You learn the skill of prompting with that. Prompting is how you give commands, context and instructions. Your outputs will be as good as your prompts.
Now there are different AI tools for different use cases, whether it be coding, video editing, voice overs or just doing your homework. So start exploring and using them.
You can also use AI for the first skill we talked about i.e. content creation. But don’t just copy paste things directly. You can use AI to create great captions, or can take AI’s help if you get stuck somewhere creating your content.
And that is one way of using AI. Another way is to integrate AI with your company’s existing technology. This is like building on top of existing AI models. This not just helps you get a job but you can build your own startup with it.
3. Entrepreneurship and business acumen
With the declining job market, people are going to open up their own startups, i.e. a bunch of people will come together and build products. For that you need to understand the demand supply market.
If you understand entrepreneurship and business, there would be no stopping you – you’d have the power to create opportunities instead of waiting for them.
So start that today, start with you tube, check out some courses on you tube related to how to build a successful business. Just start instead of waiting for the right time. Because we all know from experience that it never comes.
These are the 3 foundational skills you must start developing today. While there are countless other skills tailored to specific careers and interests, these form the bedrock for success in any field. Master them, and you’ll be ready to thrive in any path you choose.
